The Gretsch S-0610-ASHT Ash side snare drum can be added to your drum kit as an additional snare drum. It has a higher pitch than your regular snare, providing the overall sound of your kit with more character. This 10-inch snare drum is equipped with the familiar Gretsch bearing edges with a 30-degree cut, resulting in a longer tone that creates an open sound. The shell of the snare drum is made of 8mm-thick 10-ply ash with a thickness of 8 mm, which provides it with a nice ruggedness, enabling you to tune it to perfection.

Black hardware with a Satin Ebony finish

The 2.3mm flanged rims of this snare drum are lighter than standard die-cast rims, ensuring a clear sound. The S-0610-ASHT is equipped with black hardware, which is a great-looking match for the Satin Ebony finish of the snare drum.

GTS mounting and a practical snare system

The S-0610-ASHT is fitted with a standard GTS mounting system that fits on a 12.7mm tom stand, enabling you to set up and play your snare just the way you like. Additionally, the snare drum features a snare system that enables you to adjust the sound of your snare from dull to sharp with one quick and simple movement. The included drumheads are manufactured by Evans (Evans by Gretsch), comprising a single-ply rough white batter head and a single-ply transparent resonant head. Tune this side snare drum to the desired pitch and set to snares to sharp or dull, and you can add a range of new sounds to your drum setup.
